It is with immense sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Colonel Hrayr (Harry/Garo) Terzian, 90, of Laval, Quebec, on August 5th following a brief illness.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Hrayr was the son of the late Nevart (Arakelian) and Mihran Terzian and brother to Nerces (dec.), Marig (dec.) and Eugenie (Australia). At the age of 21, he joined the Lebanese military in which he served until his retirement as a Colonel prior to immigrating to Canada in 1983.

A kind, loving, and generous man, Hrayr leaves behind his wife of 59 years Edna (Tahmazian), his daughters Rita (Darren), Lara (Joseph) and son Rafy (Martine) as well as grandchildren Connor, Meagan, Joseph, Anoush, Hasmig, and Areg.

He took great pride in the achievements of his children and grandchildren, to whom he was a devoted father and grandfather. Impossible to forget, Hrayr has left a lasting impact on his family and all those who met him. The family would like to thank the staff at Sacre-Coeur hospital and CHSLD St. Dorothee for their kind and compassionate care during Hrayr’s brief stay.

Սրտի խոր կսկիծով կը գուժենք մահը Քոլոնել Կարօ Հրայր Հէրի Թերզեանի (ծնեալ 1932), որ 5 Օգոստոսին, յետ կարճատեւ հիւանդութեան խաղաղութեամբ աւանդեց իր հոգին Լավալի մէջ, Քէպէք։

Ծնած Պէյրութ,  Հրայր առջինեկ զաւակն էր Նուարդ Արաքելեանի եւ Միհրան Թերզեանի, եւ մեծեղբայրը՝ Ներսէսի (մահացած), Մարիկի (մահացած) եւ Օժէնիի (Աւստրալիա): 21 տարեկանին անդամակցեցաւ Լիբանանի բանակին, որուն ծառայեց իբրեն Քոլոնել մինչեւ հանգստեանկոչուիլը։ 1983ին ընտանիքին հետ արտագաղթեց Գանատա։

Ազնիւ, պարկեշտ եւ առատաձեռն անձնաւորութիւն մըն էր  Հրայրը ։ Անոր կը ժառանգեն իր 59 տարուայ կինը՝ Էտնան (Թահմազեան), զաւակները՝ Ռիթա (ամուսինը՝ Տէրրըն), Լարա(ամուսինը՝ Ճոզըֆ), Րաֆֆի (կինը՝ Մարդին), եւ թոռնիկները՝ Քոնըր, Մէկըն, Ճոզըֆ, Անուշ, Յասմիկ  եւ Արեգ։

Հէրին շատ հպարտ էր իր զաւակներով եւ թոռնիկներով՝ որոնց իր ամբողջ կեանքիտեւողութեան եղած էր նուիրուած հայր եւ մեծ հայր։ Ան կը հեռանայ՝ անմոռանալիյիշատակներ թողելով՝ ընտանիքին եւ իրեն ծանօթ բոլոր մարդոց համար։  Հրայրի ընտանիքըխորին շնորհակալութիւն կ՛ուզէ յայտնել Sacre-Coeur եւ CHSLD St. Dorothee-իանձնակազմին, որոնք հոգատար վերաբերմունք ցուցաբերեցին Հէրիին՝ իր կարճատեւկեցողութեան ընթացքին։
