It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Jessie Elizabeth Ann Squire. She
passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 94 after a brief hospitalization.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Montague Squire (Monty), her
father, William Drysdale and her mother Doris (Bresee) Drysdale, as well as by her
brother William (Mike) Drysdale.

She is mourned by her son, Eric Squire (Marie-
Violette Sauriol) and her daughter, Vivian Squire (Barry Nadel) as well as by her
niece, Constance Liu Squire, her cousin, John Rollit, and by other members of her
extended family.

Elizabeth grew up in Montreal, graduated from McGill University in 1954, and
married Monty Squire in 1959. She was a devoted mother and passionate nature-
lover and, together with her husband and children, shared that passion during
many adventurous camping trips across Canada and the North-Eastern U.S. She
was active throughout her life, practicing alpine and cross-country skiing, skating,
tennis and home gardening. As a child, she played softball in N.D.G., while in her
latter years, she became an avid Blue Jays fan.  

In spite of mobility issues in her last decade, she continued to care for her
husband Monty until his passing in 2022.

The compassionate care provided by the staff at Manoir St-Laurent and at the
Sacré Cœur Geriatric Unit is acknowledged with deep gratitude.

A private burial service will be held at Mount Royal Cemetery.
