Harutyun (Arto) Kaymakcioglu November 27 , 1947 - June 03 , 2022

It is with broken hearts and sorrow that we announce the passing of Harutyun (Arto) Kaymakcioglu. He died in the early hours of Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Jewish General Hospital after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Arto was born in Istanbul, Turkey on November 27, 1947. He moved to Montreal, Canada in 1964 with his parents, and brother. Incredibly hard-working and charismatic, he immediately set to making friends, building a business and joining multiple football clubs. Shortly thereafter, Arto met his wife Carol; they married in 1978. They had two sons who were his pride and joy.

Arto was a man who fiercely loved his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol, proud sons, Peter (Marianne) and Robert (Aphrodite) and brother Mike (Louise) and nephews, Shawn & James. His grand daughters Nola & Tess will miss their loving Dede. Arto touched the lives of many; his cousins, extended family and close friends who were like family to him will miss his contagious smile.
