It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hayik Arman Dernek (born in Istanbul), who passed away on January 27, 2022.

Predeceased by his parents, Hrant and Marie Dernek (Mergen). He is survived by his wife Jaklin Dernek ( born Minasakian), his son Alain Hrant Dernek ( Lorna Djandjikian), his grandchildren Alexandre and Liana Dernek, his sister Adrine Rita (Adel) Odabasioglu (Istanbul), his brother Ara Samson Dernek ( Rose-Marie), sister-in-law Janet Sari (Bedo)(France), brothers-in-law Jirair and Onno Minasakian (Greece), nephew Aris and nieces Maria, Jennifer, Karin, Lydia and Julie, as well as many extended family members.

His kindness and spirit will be forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of crossing his path.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Notre-Dame-de-Nareg Church, or to the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
