It is with profound sadness that we announce that Sonya Karaghossian Ishak, born on May 7, 1947 in Aleppo, Syria, passed away at the age of 75 on July 26, 2022 in Montréal, Canada.

Sonya was predeceased by her husband, Levon Sahakian, and is survived by her sons Khajak (Daphne), Sevag (Sevan), Setrak, and grandchildren Lukas, Anthony, Vicken, and Lorie.  She will be dearly missed by her family and wide circle of friends, and remembered for her strength, kindness and unwavering love.  

Sonya was a devoted member of the Armenian Relief Society (H.O.M.) for many decades and actively supported the Armenian Community through tireless volunteer service.
