It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Hovannes (Onnig) Avakian, who departed this life too soon.

Onnig, was a cherished son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be fondly remembered for his charisma, generosity, and endless love for his family. His vibrant presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.

Loving son of Anahid and the late Hagop Avakian.

Father of Kristofer (wife Katherine), Tasia, Jolla and Hagopig.

Brother and uncle of Vatché and Anahid Avakian and children Van, Karin and Talia. Kohar and Alex Tanielian and children Joshua and Jonah. And the children of late Lena and Boghos Yerevanian, Ani, Karine and Seza.

In lieu of flowers please donate to AGBU Alex Manoogian centre Montréal Chapter. A funeral service will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 2025-03-06 at St Gregory The Illuminator Church, 615 Av Stuart.
