IT IS WITH DEEP SORROW THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF ARCHALOUS TAHTADJIAN (NÉE KAZANDJIAN) WHO LEFT US PEACEFULLY AT THE AGE OF 95, ON DECEMBER 4, 2025.

Born on April 29 1930 in Cairo, she moved to Canada in 1965 and settled in Montreal with her husband Hrant and their two children. She was widowed in 1978, at the age of 47, and single-handedly raised her two children. She built a life defined by hard work, dignity, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is survived by her beloved children Silva and Vahan Tahtadjian, as well as their spouses Joseph Bdewi and Alice Tchakedjian, her sister Anahid Schweitzer and her cherished grandchildren Liana, Talia, Nikolas and Alexander.

She was also a grandmother to Hagop, Natalie, Taleen, Tamar, Kaitlin, Kameron, Saxon, Marli, Christopher and Khatchig. And great grandmother to Roman.

As well as her nieces Nayiri Bechai, Christine Mardirossian, Linda Donaldson, Janine Boudakian, Eileen Martayan Brooker, Evelyn Martayan and their respective families.

She will be remembered for her kindness, her quiet strength, and her deep love for her family. Her memory will forever remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

May she rest in eternal peace.
