ANNINA BUCCI-SEVO – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Anna, on Friday September 22, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at 92 years of age.  

Born in Provvidenti, Italy Anna was the eldest daughter of Giuseppe and Rosa (Lalla).  She is survived by her sister Elsa and her brother Giovanni (Carina Giannascoli).  Anna was married to Gabriele Sevo for 52 years until his passing in 2001.  She is the cherished mother to Giuseppina (Nick Polisena), Vince (Sandra Brand), Domenic (Debra Bradley), Enio, and Ronnie.  Sadly Anna was predeceased by her loving sons, baby Vincenzo (Italy), Tony (1985), and Joe (2020).  She is the much-loved Nanny to her grandchildren Elaina (Nick Chintakis), Anna, Richard, Michael, Jonathan, Shannon (Arthur Kujawiak), Vanessa (Dominique Remy), Stephanie (Andrew Comis), and Steven. She leaves behind her precious great-grandchildren Celina, Alexander, Amanda, Milena, Hailey, Lorelai, and Anthony, along with countless nieces and nephews.

She was the guiding light of her family, and loved unconditionally.  She shared in her family’s joys and disappointments, was completely selfless; she gave so much and asked for nothing in return.

Anna’s kitchen was the heart of her home, her family’s gathering place, where delicious food, stories, and laughter, was enjoyed by family and friends alike.

Her well fought battle has come to an end and she has been reunited with her loved ones.

Anna’s passing has left a huge hole in her family, she will be dearly missed, but they are comforted by all the warm loving memories she has left behind.

Visitation will be held at Komitas Funeral Home located at 5180 rue de Salaberry, Montreal, QC H4J 1J3 on Thursday September 28th, 2023, between 2 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM.  A private family viewing will be held on Friday between 10 AM to 11 AM. Funeral service to be held at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church located at 11775 rue Filion, Montreal, QC H4T 1T4 at 11:30 AM.  Interment to follow at Saint Laurent Cemetery located at 805 Saint-Croix Avenue, Saint-Laurent, QC. H4L 3X6.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Anna’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
