I had the pleasure of knowing Lucy, or ‘kiria Lucy’ as we so affectionately called her, from the time I was a little kid, living next door to my dear friend, her granddaughter several years ago. I couldn’t believe that she spoke such fluent Greek! I remember her infectious smile, and that no matter when or where she saw you, she would greet you with such warmth in her eyes. She truly had an energy that radiated to all those around her. Having read her life story, it further solidifies how amazing of a person she truly was. To Aline, Cassandra, her family, and everyone who had the honour of knowing her, I offer my sincere apologies for your loss. I can only hope that the memories you have of her and her rich life, will help you remember her forever. With love and gratitude for having had the pleasure of knowing her, Helen V
